Lynbrook railway station

Lynbrook is a railway station currently under construction on the Cranbourne railway line in Melbourne, Victoria. The station is to be located north of Aylmer Road in Lynbrook, adjacent to the pedestrian underpass built in 2005.^[2]

The station is to include:^[2]

• a bus station and taxi rank;
• car park and kiss-and-ride facilities;
• two platforms of 160m length;
• shelters and seating for passengers;
• ticket machines;
• displays for timetables and information;
• CCTV;
• bicycle facilities; and
• covered walkways, ramps and stairs.

Construction started in early October 2010. It is expected that approximately 70 people will be involved in construction. Completion was expected in 2011, however due to underbudgeting for electricity for the railway station - the project has been stalled, which will now delay the completion of the station until mid 2012.^[3][2]
